Maverick Vinales ends Yamaha’s win victory drought under the Assen atmosphere as he storms to arace win ahead of championship leader, Marc Marquez.

As the lights went out, Suzuki delight struck when Alex Rins floated to the top of the pack ahead of his teammate, Joan Mir. But that rush of hope quickly died when Rins crashed out of the lead and Mir slipped down the pack. Poleman, Fabio Quatararo, Marquez and Vinales formed the front pack to cement the top three in hope of no crashes.

The experience amongst the trio of young guns rose to the top on Dutch soil as Quatararo trailed off in third. The battle of the Spaniards was harsh, fast and based on being able to cope with the pressure of not making mistakes. Vinales hd more speed than Marquez and despite battling hard eventually managed to pull away.

The Bologna bullets, Andrea Dovizioso and Danilo Petrucci, completed the top five.
