TORUN TITLE TIGHTENS
The final round of the prestigious Speedway Grand Prix series gets underway at the Marian Rose Motoarena in Toruń this Saturday.
The World Champion will be crowned later on in the evening after the mainstream battle between Tai Woffinden and Bartosz Zmarzlik is settled. The British bullet currently sits ten points ahead of the Pole, so only has to score a minimum of eleven points to secure his third World Championship in six years.
But let’s not forgot the battle for bronze. Freddie Lindgren, Maciej Janowski and Greg Hancock all are with in a chance of storming onto the third step. Lindgren and Janowski share third place before Toruń but who will take the bronze medal at the end of the night?
Further down the championship standings, the fight for the top eight continues. Nobody wants to see their stint in the Grand Prix’s end, so the race for a place is truly crucial. Jason Doyle now seems fairly secure, so it’s between Patryk Dudek, Emil Sayfutdinov, Artem Laguta and Matej Zagar to rise to the occasion for the last two spots.
