TITLE HUNT STARTS IN QATAR
The MotoGP season gets underway at the floodlit circuit in Losail, Qatar on Friday afternoon, as all three classes take to the track for the first time this year.
Andrea Dovizioso won the outright battle between himself and reigning World Champion, Marc Marquez, last time the South West Asian country welcomed the MotoGP paddock to the city. However, it wasn’t a battle easy won. With the class of 2019 being arguably the most unpredictable yet, it is impossible to speculate who will come out on top to open this years spectacular season.
The Intermediate classes finest are set to tackle the championship trophy for another year. Sam Lowes makes his bid to jump onto the top step in Qatar but can anyone stop the pre-season timesheet-topper from flying home victorious. However, pre-season can never truly reflect how the season’s going to play out, as mastermind riders and their managers won’t want to show all their cards too early.
Moto3 always brings new talent and crazy races, aswell as a lot of surprises when the paddock hit Qatar. But with the majority of last seasons title contenders graduating to Moto2, it’s inevitable we’re going to have a new champion this year. Although Aron Canet seems most likely to step on the box with 25 points based on last years results, nothing can be guaranteed in Moto3.
