The final of the prestigious Speedway of Nations event takes place in Togliatti, Russia over the weekend, as the home nation look to defend their title.

Russia, Great Britain, Germany, Denmark, Australia, Sweden and Poland all go head to head to claim the Team World Championship title in only its second year of running. Russia look the favourites with a home track advantage which is set to bring fans rushing through the gates after their victory last year. With the home side also lining up with the same trio of riders- Emil Sayfutdinov, Artem Laguta and Gleb Chugunov- as last year, there should be no reason why they can’t produce another stunning result a year on.

Great Britain were runners up in 2018 and looked on fire in Manchester this year against Australia and Denmark, however, the side is one man down with Tai Woffinden still recovering from a back and shoulder injury from earlier on in the year.

Will another nation make a bid to take away Gold from Russia? Will Team GB be able to silence the critics and make Britain proud?
