Ana Carrasco rewrites the history books to become the first ever woman motorcycling World Champion.

Carrasco won the World Supersport 300 championship at Magny-Cours last weekend, beating Mika Perez and Scott Deroue. The Spaniard has potentially started the ball rolling for women in motorsport and has made a huge statement with her “ride like a girl” t-shirts.

Here’s Ana Carrasco’s thoughts on her history heroics: “It’s unbelievable for me, we worked so hard to be here. I can only say thank you to the Kawasaki team and to David Salom, they worked hard to get me here. Also, thanks to my family because they gave me everything this year, and my friends. I wanted to dedicate this title to Luis Salom, we were good friends and the day I lost him I promised myself I would dedicate my first tile to him.”
