MOTOGP RETURN TO A TURBULENT TERMAS
MotoGP returns to arguably one of the most unpredictable rounds of the year for the second race of the 2019 season.
Last year, Britain’s Cal Crutchlow took the top spot in a very controversial and dramatic Argentinian GP, but the circumstances were far from normal. Andrea Dovizioso is the one to catch after the intense race under the lights in Qatar and will be looking to edge ahead of his competitors one step more.
In Moto2, Lorenzo Baldassari sits in the prime championship spot and goes into the second round of the year with all the power as the season continues. However, last year showed the strength of Xavi Vierge at the Termas de Rio Hondo circuit, so will he be the one to challenge the talented Italian in 2019?
Down in the lightweight class, the Argentinian Grand Prix has produced five different winners since the track was introduced to the calendar in 2013. But one rider who will be determined to make it six this weekend will be home favourite, Gabriel Rodrigo. After recovering from injury in Qatar, the Argentine will be itching to get back to his victory challenging ways in front of his home crowd.
