Previous race winners Luca Marini and Brad Binder see the likely fits for the championship as we saw them both come on strong towards the second half of the season. Let’s not forget Sam Lowes either- we all know what he’s capable of with a fast bike and after two difficult years, the Brit is highly likely trusting with desire to start his championship campaign. However, how much advantage will the experienced contenders have as they introduce the all new Triumph Moto2 machine? Although the testing has been very tight at the top so far between Sam Lowes and Luca Marini, everything is different when you arrive in Qatar.

Who will become rookie of the year? Nicolo Bulega, Enea Bastianini, Fabio Di Giannantonio, Marco Bezzecchi, Philipp Oettl and Jorge Martin join the class after a successful year in Moto3. Meanwhile, Jake Dixon, Somkiat Chantra and Dimas Ekky Pratama join the pack and onto the world stage for the first time. The first race is on Sunday 10th March.
