JAKE'S JOYOUS DOUBLE
Maximum man, Jake Dixon, kicks off his Showdown in style as he take his second win of the day in contrasting conditions.
Dixon stormed from the line and pulled an impressive 1.4 second gap on just the first lap. He was able to stretch his lead to 6 seconds, leaving Haslam with work to do once he had passed the train of riders led by Jason O’Halloran.
The JG Speedfit rider managed to reel in his biggest title rival to the point where Dixon was only at a 1 second advantage. However, Dixon was saved by the chequered flag and managed to gain an extra five vital points on Haslam after all 18 laps.
Bridewell crossed the line in third ahead of the McAms Yamaha duo, Tarran Mackenzie and Josh Brookes. Glenn Irwin also earned himself some showdown points, finishing in sixth.
