HASLAM CLAIMS CADWELL CROWN
JG Speedfit Kawasaki rider, Leon Haslam, is crowned Cadwell King as he wins race two ahead of Bradley Ray and Jake Dixon.
This time it was Ray who got the hole shot amongst the pack, leading the first half of the race. Haslam replicated his move on Ray at Park once again, however this time Dixon followed through, seeing Ray go from first to third within three corners.
Meanwhile, away from the front trio, Tommy Bridewell was the man on the move after a poor start to his second race. But it was not to be as he ended his race in the gravel trap at Barn.
Back at the front, Dixon was lining up his pathway to victory behind Haslam and went on to overtake him...yet it was short lived. Haslam re-took the lead on the penultimate lap and looked likely to take his second win of the day. However, Dixon wasn’t giving up that easy. Leon road a defensive line on the entrance to Park, but left the door open enough for Dixon to squeeze through, yet unfortunately for him ran wide and forced him to detour on the grass.
Haslam took the win ahead of Ray and Dixon, while Peter Hickman and Glenn Irwin held off Christian Iddon.
