Lorenzo Dalla Porta wins a sensational Moto3 race in Germany to take the championship lead.

From the line, it was Romano Fenati who took the lead in front on the run into the first corner, with former championship leader Aron Canet battling to gain ground from 22nd on the grid. Teammates, Dalla Porta and Marcos Ramirez got themselves to spearhead the pack with the leading group getting bigger and bigger.

The pack fighting for the win saw everyone take their turn to lead across the German circuit, but Leopard rider, Ramirez, made his bid for the lead and tried to pull away. But, he was quickly joined by the man on the move to redeem his Sachsenring result, Canet. The Spaniard carved his way through the field to find himself sat in second, waiting to pounce on the lead.

The Max Racing Team rider along with the Leopard duo all confirmed their top three spot, but who would take the full 25 points were unknown. The trio battled profusely to the line, where Dalla Porta held off the Spanish duo to take the chequered flag.

Ramirez finished in second, ahead of Canet, Fenati and rookie, Fernandez, to complete the top five.
