The inaugural 2019 British Superbike round is set to get underway at Silverstone this weekend. With the National Championship being more open than ever the season prepares to open with a bang.

Well known newcomers, Scott Redding and Xavi Fores, are tipped to upset the Apple-cart as they join last years big names such as Bradley Ray, Glenn Irwin, Peter Hickman and Tarran Mackenzie. However, with two renowned racers coming, it means two riders have left the paddock, last years Gold and Silver duo Leon Haslam and Jake Dixon, leaving two extremely competitive seats up for grabs.

Last year, Hawk Suzuki rider, Ray, did the double at Donnington Park to open the season, but this year the Championship hosts its grand inaugural round at the Silverstone National Circuit- a circuit that brought success for Haslam. This means that anyone can take the crown and spot at the top of the championship in 2019 to kick their season off with 25 points.

Will Scott Redding live up to his expectations and dominate against the field? Or will one of the Championships more experienced riders give the former MotoGP rider a run for his money?
