BAGNAIA'S PERFECT PRESSURE

Francesco Bagnaia is awarded his eighth win of the season in a controversial Japanese GP, as original winner, Fabio Quartararo, is disqualified due to his low tyre pressure.

Bagnaia bolted as the lights went out, but Frenchman, Quartararo, ran neck and neck with him until turn one. “Pecco” and Fabio pulled a 0.9 second gap to lonely Lorenzo Baldassari who cruised round for the race in third. The two signed 2019 MotoGP riders exchanged fastest laps out front as they came closer and closer to the chequered flag.

Despite the current championship leaders efforts, Bagnaia settled for second as Quartararo took his second win of the season. “Balda” completed the podium as Miguel Oliveira and Alex Marquez finish in fourth and fifth. However, with the disqualification of Quartararo, Bagnaia is promoted to first and takes the full 25 points.
